How The Human Gap uses the personal information you share with us.

Last updated October 2026

Who we are

The Human Gap is run by Lisa Woodall, trading as Whatever Next?, based in the UK. Lisa is responsible for your personal information. For anything about your data, email hello@thehumangap.co.uk.

What we collect

When you start a conversation, we collect your name, email address, organisation and role, and whatever you tell us about your enquiry. We also note which page you came from, so we know what you were reading.

When you sign up for insights by email or What’s new, we collect your email address.

The quick checks on this site run in your browser. Your answers aren’t sent to us unless you choose to share them in a conversation.

Please don’t include sensitive personal information in a message.

We also count visits to the site, without cookies and without identifying you.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and to follow it up. You agree to this with the tick box on the form.

We send insights by email and What’s new only to people who sign up for them. They’re separate lists, so joining one doesn’t add you to the other. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Our email service records when an email is opened and which links are clicked. We look only at the totals for each email, to see what people find useful.

We never sell your information or use it for anything you haven’t asked for.

Who handles it for us

Formspree delivers form messages to us. MailPoet sends our emails. Bluehost hosts the website. The fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Some of these services store data outside the UK, under safeguards that UK data protection law recognises.

If you book through Eventbrite or play a video from YouTube, their own privacy notices apply.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for one year after we were last in touch, then delete them, unless we go on to work together. We keep your email address until you unsubscribe from that list.

Measuring the site

We count visits with Koko Analytics, which runs on our own website, so nothing is sent to an outside company. It records how many people visit, which pages they view and which site sent them, as totals. It doesn’t use cookies or store your IP address. If you’d rather not be counted, blocking JavaScript in your browser stops it.

Cookies

This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and our visit counts don’t use cookies either. A YouTube video may set cookies once you press play. Login cookies are used only by the people who edit the site.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Just email hello@thehumangap.co.uk.

Changes

If this notice changes, we’ll update the date at the top.

Can you see it?
Can you say it?

Your Monday move

  1. Find one thing that is unseen in your work this week, and name it.
  2. Find one thing that is unsaid, and find a way to say it.

You already know. Come and do something about it.
